RFE Responded on 04/16 AVM Not UPDATED?????

But the IIO says it still might be in the
general mail box.
According to her, says it might take 3 more weeks to open that
package and update the AVM???????????

I think they are BSing. I\'m in the same situation. My RFE response was sent on 4/17 and they say they still haven\'t recieved it. My lawyer has sent copies of everything again on 5/4. I\'m hoping this one will make it.

Is it possible our lawyers are not following the right procedure for responding to an RFE, in terms of using the right envelope or whatever, sometime back someone had mentioned something about a blue slip...can anyone throw some light??

It could depend on A particular lawyer.
My lawyer sent my 1st RFE on 4/20 and AVM updated on 4/30 (10 days later).
He sent my 2nd RFE on 4/26 and AVM still not updated (>10 days) I called IIO today and they said it normally takes 2 weeks, and once they enter into the system, the officer becomes aware of it. Within 30 days from AVM, the officer makes a decision.

I replied to my RFE on 4/26 and AVM still not updated. Told it takes 2 weeks. My first RFE was updated by AVM 10 days after sending, i.e. Replied on 4/20 and AVM rec\'d on 4/30. this once seems to have been lost on the conveyor belt!!

RFE issued 04/09/01, response mailed 04/26/01, INS AVM updated to response received on 05/09/01. Looks like there is a backlog of upto 2 weeks in some cases.
