Hello,

I got RFE on 08/08 for 1040 tax papers, W2 for 2001 and recent 3 paystubs. Replied on 08/12. AVM changed to 'Documents received on 14th and takes approximately 160 days.

Kishore , Sumanrock..why the rfe ?

Do you think the INS knows about any extensive layoffs in your company/ job changes on your part ? any idea why the paystubs/tax returns/empl letters were demanded ??
 
Looks like Random RFE

It looks like the RFE is random but in my case they wanted paystubbs for 6 months to corroborate the employment.

Not sure why I got an RFE. We din't had any layoff in recent time except couple of shutdowns. Also, I din't change my job. May be its just random.

My Colleague not got any RFE . But his WAC is 02-102-XXX.

Did you guys get RFE @ 140 stage or only in 485. In my case received employment related RFE in 140 as well as in H1B extension. Don't know if I should waste my time in 485 as well.

Happy to see something like "10 - 15 days for approval", but do you mean any statistics behind it or special individual's experience?

Mine is WAC-01-266, RFE only for wife's medical. Sent 7/17, responded 8/8, received 8/12, AVM changed to 160 days on 8/13. Seems on the same boat as Sumanrock and Kishore. For tt tt, the reason of this RFE is my wife skipped the TB test the first time...
