RFE received on I-485 Process RD: 12/4/2002

Hi Friends,

My case status has changed to below

"On August 11, 2004, we responded to your request for more information concerning your case. If you have not received our response within 30 days from this date, please call customer service at 1-800-375-5283."

My wife's case LUD has been changed but it still says

"On March 4, 2003, the results of your fingerprint review for your I485 Application to Register Permanent Residence or to Adjust Status were received, and processing has resumed on your case. We will mail you a notice if further action is needed, or when a decision is made".

We gave our FP1 on 2/27/03. I gave my 2nd FP on 7/24/04 and my wife gave 2nd FP on 7/20 though both got FP notice for 7/20/04.

Looks like it is an RFE right? Did any one got this kind of message anytime before? What could be the reason?

My case i am not working with the sponsoring employer any time. I used to work with them only when labour is filed. After 4 months after filing labour i quit that company and joined different company and changed 2 more companies after that too. But the sponsoring company is still supporting the GC process.

Your lawyer should receive the RFE soon.
Did you just post this? When did the LUD change after August 11? On the 12th?

Since you have a wonderful company still supporting your application, thre are no major problems.

Mine and my wife's case LUD has been changed on August 17th 2004 which is today morning. I looked at the status every day atleast 2-3 times. I didn't check it yesterday. I saw it first thing today morning at around 9:20am (EST). I found it. The sponsoring company is still positive in supporting.

I don't know whether they are asking for general information like

1) Employment Letter from Current Employer or sponsoring employer to state that they are still interested to support for GC
2) W-2's for Previous Years
3) Latest Pay stubs etc.

Does any one got the same kind of message any time before? How did they handle the issue? How much time does it really take to receive the RFE? Does it take atleast 30 days (as they mentioned 30 days)?
 
Wonderful : Does you LUD has changed anytime before 17th of August or it was a first time..? Have you called USCIS regarding your FP2 results or FBI?
 
Does not look like an RFE to me. It seems that they have responded to your query(assuming you made one) regarding your case.

Please keep us posted, I am in the same boat, worked for the sponsoring employer only at the time of labor filing.
 
I concur with srinikris. RFE messages would be some what different. They clearly say that BCIS have asked for some additional information.

Your address change might have triggered this message. BCIS will send the confirmation for address changes.
But we never know how BCIS operates. Keep us posted.

Guys,

You all are right. I confirmed with my attorney. They and me also yesterday received the letter confirming that address change has been updated in their system. Though me and I received confirmation about the address change along with FP notification (which we received from attorney and did FP also). Initially when i read the online status message it sounded like RFE.

But its not RFE. Thats cool. I hope my case should be approved soon. I saw one approval in rupnet which is 12/2002 approved. I hope i will get my approval soon.
