Hi,
I just got a message from my lawyer that she has received my rfe. Rfe is about :

Submit a copy of the Form I-797 or I-171C approval notice(s) relating to any extensions of stay or change of nonimmigrant status that have been issued to you.

I have never been out of status. But my company was taken over by bigger company. What document do I have to send to USCIS?
Any help will be appreciated.

Thanks
RD -oct 2002

Send all documents from when you entered the country that prove you were never out of status. These include I-20 (for student days), Student EAD if it applies. Then the H1-B documents and EADs. These should prove continuity.

I dont understand why they want all these from you. Dont these guys already have these information? THEY issued these documents to you!! I can understand if they need your tax returns. Morons

My company was acquired by other company. So my H1-B is on first company name where as my I-140 is in the name of acquiring company. Will that be a problem. Apart from this issue, I have all the documents with me. Any input on this? Dsatish, long time members?

whytowait,

My case is similar to yours in that my first company that processed H1 is different from the one that filed I140 as a result of acquisition. I am already approved.
