RFE Received, does it mean case is assigned to Officer ??

Hi Folks,

EB3,India,CSC, PD :07/1998, ND: 08/1999. RFE replied on 03/05/2001.

RFE received for W2 forms and Emp verification letter. Does that mean
case has been assigned to Officer ?

MY PD become current next month, Can I expect the approval soon ?

Getting a RFE certainly means that your case is assigned. Since
your PD is not current, they will hold up you case even after
examining the RFE. Once your PD becomes current, your case will
be approved shortly. Good luck,

my suggestion is do not send RFE till u r PD Current, if u send immidately after PD Current u will get approval

Why do you say one should not reply to RFE unless date current ??
any particular experience, I am asking since one needs to reply within 180 days and further how can we predict when the dates would go current? I woould assume they ask for addtnl info only when there is a certain likelihood of the case coming up/getting approval and is being examined for some confirmation ?? am I quite off the mark ??
