RFE received - anyone got same RFE

I received the following RFE:

'Provide copies of the w-2s issued to you by the petitioner for the tax years 2001, 2002 and 2003. For the year 2004, provide a copy of the three most recent, year to date, pay stubs issued to you by the petitioner'.


This is very different from the standard RFEs I am seeing about paystubs, EVL from original petitioner or if you have changed jobs, details from present employer.

Did anyone get a similar worded RFE, please respond.

This seems to fly in the face of the recent Yates memo about backlog reduction, where the adjudicators are supposed to accept the documents issued at the time of filing as still being valid, and that just because the USCIS are taking years to adjudicate, that should not be reason in and of itself to require additional evidence about the validity of the original petitioners ability to pay. Maybe it's a junior IIO trying to cover themselves because they don't understand the memo.
