RFE question

It takes atleast 1-2 weeks and in some cases 3 weeks for RFE to reach the lawyer..!!

It comes to the lawyer...Not to the applicant..
 
When is your RFE generated? If you don't receieve it in 3 weeks time means might be missed in mail. It goes to Attorney. Check with him.

Just curious. In what cases it will come to applicant? I heard (in my case too, went to lawyer) it goes to lawyer.

Kind of thinking. I know guys who applied their 485 themselves, in that case assume they will receive the rfe.

When was your RFE generated? Online/AVM would say "if 14 days have passed and still not received the RFE call BCIS"... Just give them 1 more week and you still didnt receive call BCIS and quote the online/AVM. As told by CSC rep., waiting for 30 days to receive the notice doesnt make send. I guess the person doesnt know what (s)he is talking. Just keep an eye on the case status. In my case, both online and AVM said RFE sent on 08-04. While my attorney was waiting for the notice, couple of weeks later case status changed to RFE response received on 08-18. Keep in mind we never responded to any RFE notice as we didnt receive one in the first place. My lawyer has sent a letter to VSC. I spoke to tier 2 on 08-28 and initiated an inquiry and still waiting for something from BCIS. Someone told me that sometimes an internal query or even past employment verification might change the status to RFE but we may not receive anything from them as it was internal. I am not sure how far it is true.
