1.The 14 days mentioned to wait for the mail are working days or total no of days from the RFE issued date?

2.What is the approximate safe wait for RFE from the date mentioned on the online status? After this the individual can start banging the doors of the lawyer and BCIS.

3.Can you get to the Local office to procure the RFE personally?

My RFE was issue on June17th for 485 application

Thanks in advance,

RFEs will be sent to lawers directly unless you filed everything yourself. Wait for 14 business days and call them back.

RFE related question

Hi

When the RFE is been issued, how does it works? Do the applicant get the copy or the attorney needs to send a copy to the applicant.

Recently I have applied my EAD renewal by myself as my attorney was asking lot of money. I am kind of worried, if the attorney gets the query and not send it to me. Can they do that?

How about the Case Stauts online, will INS update this when they issue RFEs?

Please advise.

if you applied for EAD, then you will get any issued RFE. Only if there is an attached G-28 form will the attorney get the RFE/approval.

14 days is probably just 14 days, so you should talk to IIO (if that is possible).

good luck...

Case status online message for RFE:

"On July 2, 2003, we mailed a notice requesting additional evidence or information in this case. The notice explains in detail what additional material is needed. If you have questions about the notice, what is required, or if 14 days have passed and you have not received the notice. Please contact the service center where you submitted your application during business hours."

Hi Neeru

Thanks for your quick response.

I guess my question was:

When the Attorney gets the RFE related to my case. Will INS update the Case Status saying that "RFE is issued" or something like that.

Because, all my processings are going thru my company attorney related my GC process. But when I applied my EAD renewal and AP renewal I have applied by myself as it was costing me some money. I am still with the same employer.

Please advise me further

So, if you get RFE for AP/EAD, you will get it in Mail and case status will say "RFE is issued".

If you get RFE for AOS (485), your attorney will get it in Mail and the case status will say "RFE is issued".

Case status is sometimes not updated, but this is not specific to any case, just due to tardiness I guess.

You seem to be anxious. There are several people who have done exactly what you have done. Relax.

(Have a charminar, if you like)

Hi Neeru

Thanks for your quick response.

You like a very humorous person. I like that.

I smoke Marlboro. For this answer sake, I think I need to have. We Smokers look for the reason to smoke. Thanks for the chance given.

Thanks once again for the reply.
