The reason I bring this up is that there are 2 figures there, the first is the salary, and second the prevailing wage and the prevailing wage is less than salary by varying amounts anywhere from 1-2% to typically 10-15% and in some cases even upto 25% (based on my employer).
My feeling is even if salary is lower now, but higher than what the prevailing wage was determined, then the person should be fine, but have no data myself...
