Any one who is not the primary applicant is treated as a dependant and does not have to show independant source of income. When you file your I 485, you provide an affidavit of support for your defendants. The INS could careless what happens after the GC is approved, as the dependant cannot become a "social burden"- no contribution to Social security means no unemployment checks.
As such, issuing an RFE to a dependant does not make any sense.
Having said that, it would not be too much of a surprise if some overzealous ( and over jealous?) INS officer did issue an RFE - to see if some one is working illegally without an EAD.!
so far i Have not seen any instance of the
Spouse (secondary applicant)RFE for paystub and W2.
Mostly spouse gets RFE for Medical, marraige certificate
or birth cert.
Primary only get's RFE not the spouse for employment purposes. As somebody earlier said spouse is derivative and doesnot really affect the case unless has an FBI match.
I got an RFE for employment purposes my spouse didn't get any so here is an example for you.
