HI,
When somebody receives an RFE does that mean that there case is assigned to an officer and rfe is issued after he/she reviews the documents???

I just received an email regarding an RFE which is issued to me.

Does that mean that my case will be delayed or fast or nothing?????
What does it mean? Also Can somebody give me an educated guess what can it about, since I haven't receievd yet? MY case is very straight I haven't changed any employer or anything..

Thanks

It means that somebody had opened your case and found some supporting documents missing in it...so issued an RFE.

In majority of the cases, RFE is for Employement letter, paystubs and tax returns. I've seen RFEs generated for Birth certificates, marriage certificates, proof of status in US etc.

Once you reply back to the RFE, your case is expected for the final adjudication within 30-60 days.

PV1976, Thanks for replying.

Also my FP is expiring on 8/22/04. Should I expect FP2 when my case is so close for adjudication ?????
