RFE Question - Does it means processing completed ?

I called an IIO yesterday about my case (RFE received by INS on 9th July) she said everything has been matched on my file but no decision has been made yet and it may be atleast 2-3 weeks before i hear anything from INS.

I couldn't ask her, but What does she meant by everything has been matched on my file? Does it means processing is done but the officer has to say approved or from there the file goes to somewhere to get the approval stamp?

If it's the same officer who approves the case why do they take so long even after everything is matched( according to IIO)?

Any thoughts ????

Ok.. you are the second person (or message) with this stuff from an IIO.

Here is a logical scenario: All paperwork for your case has been cleared. Now it goes to the last stage ( IBIS checking system where they check on your background).

Unless there is any serious crime in your record, my guess is you are on your way to approval within 2-3 days.

Thanks Vivek

you said i am the second person to hear that from an IIO who else heard the same verbiage ? did they got approved ?

Thanks for your response

I read almost similar message few days ago on this board (don't know what happened thereafter or who it was from).

However, IBIS check is the last stage these days (IBIS was introduced just few months back in response to 911).

I would say that matching means they got your RFE documents and put it back into your file folder. Normally, this folder with completed documents are returned to the office who reviewed it.
In no time, it will get approved...Hang in there...

Its been a month

It's been a month since INS received the RFE response. Do you think they will keep it on the shelf for a month without forwarding to the officer ?
