Today I received 2ndRFE papers. It asks for following docs
1) Current employment letter with job description,salary etc etc
2) Employment history from 485 application, as written statement.

I was with same employer until sep-03.(who filed my 485). I got laid off after that. I did 3 projects on w2 which last as minimun as 4 days to 2 months until Mar-15. Also I have employment gap in between those projects. Since Mar-15 I am working as permenant employee.

My q/s are
1) Does employment gap after laid off is a bad sign??
2) I changed 3 employers during short duration of 6months, (I have to...as those projects are o short duration) , will it be bad impression ??

I dont think changing employers after 180 days of filing 485 will make any difference as long as you hold a similar job currently.

Also could you please post your complete case details like RD, ND, RFE 1 (details), FP, RFE reply date etc.

Also Check my previous posting... I contacted local congressman, that triggered movement in my case..you might give a try...doesn't hurt.

I contacted local senator but got the same info (We are processing Sep 2001 files still). So can't do anything further.

No I dont think they will care the gaps after 180 days or perhaps even before that (GC is for future employment). The only thing that you may need to show is you have enough income in the fiscal years (More than Poverty level) so you are not a public charge.

It was basically same..

1st RFE-- employment verification (I was with same employer at that time who filed my 485...)
2nd RDE--current employer letter with description,salary etc+ statement of employment since filing 485 with start/end dates if you have changed employer after 485.

I am scanning my RFE, I will post details here.

Do I need to file AC-21 alongwith RFE response??

You should submit currently issued employment letter with salary, job description and etc. Usually some attorneys attach the relavant copy of relavant Memo or regulation and draft a letter stating the grounds for eligibility.

Its just an option you may simply send the current employment letter. Better to take the attorney's advise.

Receive RFE 2

Just checked my status and the BCIS is sending me another RFE.
My situation is similar to GCLookup.

I received my first employment RFE last April and have been waiting since then.

Now, I have been slapped with another RFE. I'll have to wait at least a few more days before I can tell you what it is.

Can you please give your case details like receipt date etc.Did you contact any sentor.Did that trigger a move on your file.Its Good that they are looking into your file.
 
Is it common to have same 2nd RFE

I am wondering why INS issued similiar 2nd RFE to you. Did you move, change the address, or your ex-employer informed INS about your leave? Any clue? Did INS ask the written statement about employment history in your 1st RFE? My RD is 01/2002, RFE 09/2003, still wait. Most people such as Wait600days, got approval without 2nd RFE even his 1st RFE was in 12/2002. Thanks for sharing your info.

Looks like they are trying to clear up old files before progressing the dates.
 
gggccc==> When I got laid off, my company lawyer send papers to INS that he is no more represtig me. I believe company/lawyer didn't inform about laid off or anything like that....
My guess are
1) I changed address after laid off
2) there is 1 year gap , so INS just want to make sure about your job situation.
