RFE or Denial means?

Is RFE or Denial the same regarding I-140/485? Using EAD to work and if there a RFE for I-140 or I-485, does that result in denial of EAD ? One can not continue to work anymore or goes out of status?
How different is RFE and Denial? Pls help.

RFE is request for more evidence, that does not invalidate ur EAD or AP, only denial does that. But there have been cases where local offices have refused to issue interim EAD when there was an RFE.
