Hi All Gurus.
I got an RFE on my case for
Employment verification
Your personal income tax forms for the last three years
Last three years W-2 forms
Your last three pay stubs.
They also want proof that your current employer can afford to pay your salary
What type of company do you work for now?

My 2002 w-2 income is very low as I had no job then. Did anyone get a similar RFE? Pls help me?

Thanks in advance

RFE Documents & Status

I would like to know from the fellows who received RFE,

1. Does the online status show that RFE was issued or do we have to wait for snail mail?

2. When we reply to RFE, does the online status get updated to mention RFE Ack? Does TSC update online status immediately?

3. What kind of documents TSC look for in case of RFE? EVL, W2s, tax returns, anything else?

Please help.

LongGC,

My online status did not change when RFE was issued. My lawyer got a letter.
RFE was express mailed to INS on 3/17.Online status changed to RFE received on 3/22/04.
RFE was for EVL and Current practicing license.

LongGC,

My wife received an RFE. This is what happened:

1. Her online status changed to indicate an RFE was sent. But it did NOT show the content of the RFE.

2. Her lawyer sent her the RFE.

3. Her online status changed to indicate receipt of reply to RFE.

Good luck!

Hi longgc,
yes the status changes as soon as they issue the RFE. in my case i received the rfe in five days after i saw the online message about RFE.

same is the case when they receive the response too. my online message said, "response was received on so and so and is taking 900 something days, howevere, since the prelim blah blah is done....it should take fewer than these days...

as for as responding to RFE, you will be fine if you send, copies of your tax return (first two pages should do....no need of other schds) with w2 forms and few current pay stubs(i don't have the habit of saving the paystubs, so i had to send to online printouts of my paystubs and that was ok). and then the usual empl letter...

i have been reading your case and you seem to be in good control of your case. thats the way to go.....hang in there and beat the system by winning your case.

cheers.
