rfe on marital status

I am single and filed for my i-485 accordingly. However, I received an RFE stating "You have indicated that you are single and on form G-325A, you have indicated Husband or wife none. However, the following information is also given..Name of some person......

Please explain."

I was planning on writing a letter attesting that I am single. Can't think of any other proof I can provide. Has anyone had a similar experience and if so can you share your response.

You are right, all you can do is send an affidavit stating you are single and have never been married. You can also state that the information in form G325 is a typo. You may also want to include affidavits from 2 people who have known you for a few years, also stating that you are unmarried. In anycase, do consult your lawyer if you have one.

This should be a simple one.

Thanks sertra2002... Getting those affidavits is a good idea.. My lawyer is not being very helpful..I don't know where the misinformation happened..because I think the G325 was filed correctly. I don't want to say there was a typo or a mistake, in case they decide to ask for the G325A to be filed again...
