RFE on I-94

My last trip outside the USA was to Canada in January 2002, at the time my I-94 was not stamped, neither was my passport. I was on an H-1 visa originally issued in March 1999 set to expired in Feb 2002. The I-94 was issued in May 2000 upon return from a trip overseas. The Canadian trip was actually to the US Embassy to obtain visas for my children who had then just acquired their own passports, having previously been endorsed on their mothers'. Subsequent I-94s issued with my H-1 extensions have kept the number of the I-94 issued in May 2000.

I have received an RFE regarding my last trip outside the USA which I stated was in January 2002 on my 485 application requesting for copies of my I-94s, and evidence of my last trip out of the country.

What should be my response?
 
You need to prepare a affidavit signed before notary public explaining your last entry, like the entry port, date, why you didn't get stamped, etc. If you can find any evidence of your trip, like ticket, receipt, etc., you should include them in your RFE. My wife got a similar RFE and our lawyer just did so. Don't know if it will work.
