RFE on EAD: color ID

We just received a bunch of RFEs on EADs and APs. They require to send a good quality slightly bigger size and preferrably color copy of government issued picture IDs. JFYI.

I don' think color copy is a requirement as it is not specified in their instructions. I sent them b/w copies and got approved without any RFEs. As long as you make copies clear and sharp, I don't think color or b/w matters.
 
The Kinkos' (where I live at) doesn't even let me make color copies of Driver's License (or passport) etc. I tried telling them that I am not taking the copy at original size and instead looking for an enlarged copy. They still didn't budge. I have done e-filing for EAD/AP and sent the B/W copies as supporting documentation. I am still waiting on USCIS decision.
