RFE on EAD and 485 @ same time??

Hi Guys,

I already posted this on EAD and AP thread but not all of the Gurus visit that thread and so posting on this one.

I am new to this forum. I filed my 485 in feb 02 from NSC. I never applied for EAD for my self. Now I finally because of job problem I applied EAD online on Mar 21st and got RFE on Mar 17th (yet to know the RFE details). My Question to all Gurus is since NSC is issuing RFE's to feb 02 cases , will they wait to issue me an RFE since my EAD has an RFE and wait till my EAD is resolved or it doesn't matter. I know EAD and 485 are processed in two different Divisions. Has anyone fallen in to the same situation?? Please respond.

No I do not think they will wait for your reply to your EAD RFE. EAD can be impacted coz of 485 for whatever reason but not vice-versa.

Thanx NSC121901....I am relieved a bit!! as I am desperately waiting for any RFE as I want to send my wife and son to India and haven't applied for AP.
 
Assuming that all divisions in CIS work in coordination, my guess is RFE for EAD should be same as RFE of 485 because both got triggered around/at the same time. While replying for 485, do not neglect replying for EAD. As long as 485 is approved, you do not need to bother about EAD.
Who knows how CIS works..., they may issue you an EAD even after approving your 485.
