RFE on AP not received

Hi friends,

After more than one and half months Attorney told me yesterday that they have not received I485 receipt and when he contacted BCIS to send another set , BCIS did not give any guarantee to resend it.
My first question is do BCIS mails another copy?

He has got some receipt numbers on back of his cancelled checks which he gave me and obviosuly He could not tell which one belongs to me or one to my wife. He gave me only one I485 receipt number.

Second question
How many I485 receipt number we get?

Last, when I checked the status I found there a RFE on AP(no clue if it for me or my wife) but the online message says:
"Our last written notice in this case was returned as undeliverable by the post office on February 12, 2004"

my questions is where this notice would been sent ? To me or Attorney? I moved to another state(after filing I485)
Should I call them and tell them to resend the notice to me?

what should I do if I want to go out of USA and come back? I have valid H1 but no I485 receipt notice document.Given the uncertainties of AP(i have RFE on it too) are there any alternatives?

Usually they do if you make a request, but it takes time.

One for each pending I-485.

Usually indicates wrong or incorrect address in your file at USCIS. This does not means that there is a RFE on AP, USCIS might have approved them but they came back to USCIS due to wrong address.

If you have attorney representing the case, receipts will go to attorney office as stated in the application. Let attorney handle the situation regarding I-140, rest all you can pursue.

You can go outside US and come back if you have valid H1-B visa on your passport. But, if I were you, I will fix the mess created by your attorney/USCIS and then make any travel plan.

I appreciate it.

I called USCIS to find out more about notice status and to change my address as well.
Officer could not help me because she wanted to know who is the beneficiery of the application. Attorney has have no clue which case number is mine or wife's, I could not answer her question. She even refused to change the address.

But one thing is clear. USCIS updates our addresses from AR-11 form. She asked if I had filled one.

I hope USCIS mail out another set of I485 receipt notice.

This is just AP and it has just begun. God give me strength.
