RFE on 485 and Notice for biometrics

To gurus,

I have filed for 485 concurrently on 09/30/2005. Since then I have recd approvals on 131, 765 and 140. Recently, I recd and RFE on 485 asking to prove my legal status on certain dates. While my lawyer is working on the RFE, I received Notice for Biometrics.

For someone like me who has filed the application before retrogression hit us (born in India), what does this RFE and Notice for Bio mean?

What is the difference between Fingerprinting and Biometrics? I never received notice for fingerprinting before the notice for bio..

>>>Now they started taking Bio rather then only FP. In Bio they take FP and photo. In bio you don't have to go for the passport stamping, you will get your card at home after approval.
