Hi All,

According to online and phone status RFE was generated for my case (primary applicant)and mailed on Aug 4th. I have been calling my lawyer and they keep saying that they haven't received anything. I am close to approaching 14 days. What should I do once 14 days have passed and still no signs of RFE notice. If I call VSC, will they give me the info/receipt. Can I respond to the RFE or only lawyer can do that? My wife's status still hasn't changed which says FP recd bla bla ...

Friend,
Follow up on this RFE ASAP and get things ready in the mean-while., and respond quickly by end of month, as ur FP expires around 8/31/03 [5/31/02 + 15 Mos ] to avoid further delay[due to FP2] Good Luck..!

Called the lawyer again today. Still he says not received anything. Has anyone attempted replying to RFE by themselves without going through the lawyer? I am loosing my patience. This stupid lawyer is ridiculous. Is there anyway I can know what the RFE was issued for(other than the notice itelf)

The RFE will only be send to the lawyer. He should receive it by the end of this week. I received my RFE notice in 8 days. Since you have some time onyour hands keep all your docs. ready.

My wife's FP results recd by INS was 06-11-02. So her FP would also expire by next month 11th. She did not take the MMR shot last year thinking that she might be pregnant. Assuming that she gets an RFE for that, can she get the shot now (before getting the RFE) and keep her paperwork ready. In order to get the shot does she have to go to INS doc or any doc will do.

I went to another BCIS approved doctor as my previous doctor had left for another place, when I got the RFE. Your lawyer has to make a covering letter stating this fact.
Get the MMR done before if you can, preferably by the same doctor as before as it takes about 48 hours for a recheck by the doctor.
