i was issued an rfe on my 485 on 13th july. i haven't received it even after 18 days. i called the 800 number few days ago. apparently they still have my old attorney's g-28 on file.(i changed attorneys in early 2003. and they filed a new g-28. but looks like it was not attached to my file.) and my old attorney changed addresses. the rfe has been sent to her old address which means even my old attorney will not be getting it.
i requested the officer to send the rfe to my home address. to which the officer asked me to my fax and mail a letter requesting the same. i faxed and mailed the request alongwith the current attorney's g-28. however there has been no update in my status yet. and i am not sure if this time also the letter
and g-28 would be attached to my file.
is there any other way to get the rfe from ins soon. any help would be appreciated.
