(1) Submit evidence to establish that the self-petitioner seeks employment in an area of substantial in an area of substantial intrinsic benefit.

(2) Submit evidence to establish how the benefit of the self-petitioner’s work is of national importance. What effect would the proposed employment of the individual alien have on the United States as a whole?

NIW, TSC.

It seems to me the above two requirement are interrelated. For the first question, I will address that millions of Americans are suffering diseases and my research will lead to a resolution for them. This is also an answer for the second question. Anyone can tell me what the officer specifically wants me to answer for the second question?
Thank you in advance!

1. Has an employer of repute shown any interest in employing you?

2. If you work on disease science then have you published work in peer-reviewed journals. how many? attach all papers. impact factors. citation indices. patents. RO1's R21's. any grants that refer to you as consultant.

Have you included in your petition letters of ref from reputed scientists of and not off the field that know of your research and think highly of the merit of your research and of your ability to succeed in it?

has your work been talked about in reviews extensively?

has your work shaped policy or thought?

has it been reported in print or electronic media. collect all the evidence.

search these fora for a tonne of information about RFEs like yours.

Thank you, nikkasingh! Do you mean all these points are for the second requirement?

This is the answer ........get statistics.............and explain them why your expertise and work will have merit over others. ....explain other approaches which might fail and hows urs not!

This line of difference but................No they are not related
national importance is specially meant for US ....intrinsic merit is more scientific and can be for human being then country specific..............You have to explain hows US economy/culture / science is getting benefitted from your work...............How US will suffer if you leave this project............entagled your expertise using letters/achaivements with US benefits...........
