Has any one heared of RFE like this? Friend of mine, got it like this. Why do INS need list of PR people list?

RFE - List of Permanent Residencies filed in your organisation + Company financial status

My company got a similar one
But it was an RFE for 140. Before approving 140 for one of the petitioners, INS basically sent an RFE giving the list of all the 140 approvals done in the past and asked the company if they all are still on the payroll. They also asked the company that since the company paid xxxxx amount of dollars as tax (which they think as very low), how they can support so many 140 petitions during this economic downturn.
The attorney has replied with strong words to the INS blasting them how the payment of taxes relate to paying salaries to employees (a company having thousands of employees but does not make a profit need not pay taxes) and the INS approved the case and didn\'t say anything about the remaining applicants.

How many employees are there in your friend\'s company? Can you just find it out? Because INS, before approving a case may also verify the company information who knows(I guess).
