RFE issued according to IIO

Just talked to IIO and she said that the officer has requested for additional Inforation and a letter would be sent to the attorney in two weeks. She would not tell what additional information has been requested. AVM has not changed yet. Is there any way to get this letter sooner ? I also got an RFE during the I-140 stage which was for W2 and paystubs. Any ideas how I can get the letter sooner ??

I don\'t think there is anyway to get it sooner.

It took 1 1\2 week to get my AVM message change to "RFE Issued" and it will take 4-5 days to get the actual hard copy. AVM message changed to "RFE issued" yeterday on my case. I am expecting the actual letter by this Monday. Hope this helps. My RD 01-19-2001, ND 01-29-2001. Good luck to you.

what was your AVM nessage before it changed to RFE issued? Did it say Case not found or "Your case was received ..."?

Before first week of October it was saying "case not found". From second week of October till 5th of November is was saying "was received on" and yesterday it changed to "On Nov 6th RFE issued". Hope this helps. Good luck to you.

Did she tell you what was your RFE about ? I tried but she wouldn\'t tell me. Is there any way to know what the RFE is about from the IIO ? I mean if the Attny calls, would they tell him ? Any inputs would be appreciated.

did you guys have the issue of IIO asking for retrieval of I 140 from storage, as several posts today have been saying?

My ND is jan 30, I had called the IIO today to find out abt the status .
All she said was "there is some movement in your case". Other than that she did not say anything. Could the IIO tell you beforehead when you got the RFE ?

Yes they should tell you before hand.Least They did it in my case. Don\'t hope for the worst..hope for the best man...maybe you will get approved without getting RFE. Good luck to you buddy!!

RFE 11/2/01 mail received at home on 11/9 with post mark dated
11/7 from St. Alban, VT.
Reason: The Medical Exam Report (Form I-693) doesn\'t indicate
a tuberculin skin test or chest x-ray had been done. Ask to return
to the physician that conducted exam and have it completed.
