RFE IOWA RIR Application

Hi:

My employer filed my RIR application on Sep2003. The case was transfered to federal on Dec 2003. After waiting almost a year, my lawyer called me today to inform that DOL has asked to put another ad in Sunday's paper to test the job market.

My Questions are.

1- Does this usually happens

2- After when the company has advertised and replied back to DOL. Will it take another 9 months before DOL looks at my file, or does it gets worked on when the DOL recieves a reply from my lawyer.

3- How long is I140 & I485 taking for IOWA.

It is normal...

Chic DOL is sending Remands to Employers whose cases are year old to retest the market...it means you just need to re-advertise and send in the results. It is good news...and you should start making plans to apply 140/485...no worries....when you apply 140/485...you will be in Nebraska INS Q and you can ask somebody over in the other forums about their timelines...

It should not

It should be quicker than that...but sometimes it could take upto 2 months I think...best bet is to look at the archive thread on Chic DOL.
