I have a weird case. My wife got an RFE for her EAD requiring new photos. This was issues on 20th of August. I sent the photos to lawyer. May be by september first week INS should have received it. My lawyer says he has proof that INS received it. But the Automated message never changed. I came under impression that INS will not update the message at 100% of the time. She has not got her EAD yet. Still the message says "we mailed an RFE on August 20th.. blah.. blah..". Even if it is rejected because of RFE is 3 months old they could have changed the message. Am I missing anything here. Does anyone know how long it takes to get an EAD from VSC? Can I get a interim EAD from local offices? Thanks for any info.

RFE for wife\'s EAD

Hi,
My wife also has the same case. in her case an RFE was issues on Sep 5th and we replied with new photos soon after. On around nov 1 st week the automated message changed to say. The rfe reply has been received and will be processed within 90 days.
Since then, the automated system has not been updated further.
I dont know how long it will take before she gets her EAD card.
This is for the Texas service center.

Today..
Today I talked to IIO.. She said they never received mine or some way the replied RFE number is not matching what ever they have. So she told me to consult my lawyer about re-sending. I asked her it\'s been 60 days past will it cause any problem. She told that they have not send the rejection letter yet. Will let you know what I\'ll do next.
