My girl friend got email yesterday, they mailed RFE .She traveled , i think its the only reason , but we'll see.We have a few days difference in ND ,my case is next , i think they may send RFE to me because i got my first RTD this month , which i never use.i would never apply for rtd if i know that its gonna take few weeks for me to receive it.So , we are both waiting ...

clevelandOH, regarding to your opinion, as to the applicants never appled for RTD and traveled outside USA, uscis will skip RFE for them? does anyone have different experience?

most guys who travel got rfe , some doesnot.so , if you never had rtd , you have less chances for rfe.
also, rfe not just only about rtd , but other things too.
good luck!

Hope they don't send me RFE !!!!!!!

I received RTD back in 2000 only once but never traveled therefore never been outside of United States, hopefully I will not get RFE.
Than again who knows USCIS may ask for RFE for other unknown reasons just to delay the processing. My ND Dec,2000 & I waited long enough can't wait no more so just praying for those IO who can be just a little bit kind & treat us like human than numbers.

Well for the USCIS to approve an asylee application, one thing that is required is "history of past travels." Its very easy for the officer to look it up and say ok Lets send him/her RFE..some do some don't. My sister got approved last year, she travelled extensively but didn't get a RFE. I got a RFE asking for past travels.

It really depends on the officer. If he is lazy and doens't have the brains to look it up, he would request an RFE...Usually with USCIS, they want the applicant to do the Job for them. I think millions of dollars were wasted by applicants in doing another medical but it was not needed. The USCIS did say Ok don't do it but just write a note saying you submitted one but then they also put a Warning saying Ok If the officer didn't find that medical than you are toast..Your application is abandoned...9/10 of poor applicants said waht the hell..250 bucks is worth getting a GC. Safer than Sorry.

So who gets a RFE? No one knows. Example of USCIS, I went to get COde 1 today, this lady did my FP's, and I noticed others called a superior officer to get QA(quality assurance) as they always do and my officer didnt..so i asked her don't you need QA?...She said "Naah I am a senior, they trust me"

So the point is. As the example above, maybe 2 officers review it and if an officer is a veteran at his job, he has the authority to approve the application..whereas the new officers may require someone to look over and say "Hey yah ask him RFE just to be sure."
