Rfe For Birth Certificate

Hi Guys,
We submitted our birth certificate when filing our I-485, but our name was not mentioned in that certificate. We got an RFE for that.. so we sent an affidavit of birth from our parents but we didn\'t send the non-availability of certificate from the municipal authorities because our birth certificate was avaialble.
Could anybody tell me whether or not it is necessary to submit non-availability of certificate also??
Did anyone receive RFE for the birth certificate even though it was issued without their name on it???
It\'s been 2 weeks since we mailed the affidavit of birth but still AVM has not changed their message....

It depends on officer who looking the case. It is however recommended to send the non Availability certificate too.
BTW : please post your PD/ND and RFE dates

Hello GGS,
Same here!! My attorney has mailed the evidence on 05/04/01. NSC hasn\'t updated AVM about the receipt of the evidence. I am worried to say the least. And yes the RFE was regarding my birth certificate, ‘cause my birth certificate was issued recently by the local governing body. NSC wanted the oldest available records showing my name and parents name and two affidavits.

Hi,
 If they need non available certificate they will mention that clearly in RFE. So if they didn\'t mentioned in ur case then dont worry. u r fine.

I am worried now, i dont have non availablility and birth certificate i got doesnt mention mother\'s name.
485 ND is 02/01.
Does any one has link or format on how afffidavit looks like?
