RFE for Birth Certificate

I received an RFE for birth certificate. INS would like to get secondary evidence. Here are my details:

PD - 4/96
RD - 3/00
ND - 4/00
FP - 3/01

Any insights into any other experiences, required documents...

what docs did u send in first place for your BC ? what are the list of docs mentiond by INS that u can send as secondary evidence?

My wife got an RFE for BC. Basically it depends on what they ask in that RFE. For her they asked another affidavit.

We sent an affidavit from her uncle and also the BC from the consulate. She did not have her original BC and in her first affidavit, it was mentioned that the birth was not registered and hence BC was not available. This was an affidavit by a magistrate.

We did get approved about a month back. So I guess it would be better to send what the INS specifically asks for. It is just my personal experience, so please don\'t take it as a legal advice.
