RFE follow-up inquiry by email ??

Hi all

I responded to an RFE for the AOS application more than 2 months ago, and very recently asked my attorney to follow-up with BCIS by sending a fax inquiry with regard to the status of my application.

The attorney said that instead of a fax, he sent an email. I have not seen anyone mention on this forum that the inquiry can be done via email. Is this email alternative something new?

If you check the CSC inquiry document at this thread,
http://www.immigrationportal.com/showpost.php?p=882408&postcount=43, you will see CSC inquiry e-mail addresses in the bottom right corner.

I did a fax inquiry with that document. The CSC Guidelines document (on page 11) says to use the e-mail addresses for follow-up purposes.

Yes, email is also an acceptable way to follow up. I had him do the same on my behalf re: my change of address. We received a response in 24 hours.
