Hi Friends, My company applied for my PR (EB2) using a Substitute Labor which required Masters Degree in Math.

I have a Masters in Math from India and Ph.D. in Applied Math from the US. INS is saying that I don't qualify for Substitute Labor since my Masters degree in Math is not equivalent to Masters in Math in the US and my Ph.D. degree does not prove that I have a Ph.D. in Math (it's in Applied Math). I send my detailed transcript from the US showing that I took enough courses from Math dept. from the US that I more than qualify for a Masters degree in Math by US Standard.

Do you guys think this case has a chance to get approved after INS examines the transcript? Some people are saying that INS only matches the "Subject" written on the Diploma with the degree required in Labor Certificate; they don't bother with transcript. Is it true?

Thanks for your input.
