RFE docs received by INS (Nebraska) on 21Mar2002. Still waiting.

we got rfes for Birth Certificates( me and my wife), my salary and my wife\'s medical. ins received the suporting docs on 21mar2002 (2months!!). no response. spoke twice with officer. they say they do not know why it is late. my attorney says, we will be going thru senetor(local) to resolve this. we do not know how much time this takes. anybody with similar experience?

Similar Situation

RFE reply received by NSC on MARCH 28th 2002. Spoke with IIO early MAy and was told that case unassigned. AVM on MAy 17th said that case transferred to Lcoal office. Yet to get transfer notice or Interview date
 
Bharat2000, what is wrong with your case? Why is it transfered to Local INS?

Did you get married after applying for I-485, or something like that?
 
gmedapuram , can you give details about your rfes?

didn\'t you submit your bc and medicals earlier with the original application?
 
about our RFEs

we supplied all the docs. but we do not had BCs. so i gave a self affidavit and my wife gave her father\'s. so mine they wanted 2 affidavits and they needed one more affidavit for my wifes. as my parents are no more, i got my cousins affidavits (one is here and the other from india).
also I got rfe for about my job. they wanted a letter from my employer. my present salary is 10K less than the labor-time salary. but (this is very important) right now I am paid more than the prevailing wage. there is something called prevailing wage for every job. one should be aware of it. my salary, fortunately, is more than the prevailing wage. that\'s what employer stated in their \'letter; to ins.
my wife was pregnant when we applied 485. so she did not had some vaccins as per instructions of her gynocologist. so , a rfe for that :)

That\'s our painful journey , in short!!
