RFE details

My lawyer just called with details of my RFE. BCIS is requesting updated employment letter, payslips for past 6 months and copy of 2002 tax return and W-2.

I asked the lawyer how long she anticipated approval would be after submission of RFE information and she guessed.....6 months. Not what I was hoping for but it was just her guess.

To be safe , Lawyers generally give estimates on a higher side.

The impediment that I can see in your case is FP2.

It looks like your FP1 has expired. Unless you get you FP2 notice soon your case may get delayed.

on the other hand If your case was touched before your FP1 expired, then you may not need FP2 in which case you should expect your approval in the next 2 months.

If FP is valid for 15 months, expiration date of FP is January 04, yes? It seems my first FP should still be valid. I should get everything to lawyer tomorrow and employment letter should not take long either.

Keeping fingers crossed!! Thanks for the info.

Just realized i was counting 18 months rather than 15 and you are correct. FP may be invalid :(

I'll keep details updated here and on Rupnet. Thanks guys.

Even if the RFE is issued before FP expiry, if the officer sees an expired FP at the time of picking up the case again, he/she may send you for another round of FP check. This happened to me.

Some adjudication officers approve the case without requesting second finger print even if the first FP has expired.
