It looks like once AVM is updated about your RFE recieved .. then your case will be approved with in 4 to 5 weeks... as i notice
AVM updates there cases are approving..
as in my case, neo case, sun9 case, xx yy etc.. are proof for it..
This is only predication.. it may be true or may not be...

I Agree with that Prediction because I have seen the same approval times during the past couple of months. No garuntees that this time will not change (meaning taking more time). But if this trend continues on then these are the timings (4 to 5 weeks for approval after the RFE AVM Update) that we should see. My AVM was updated on the 31st of July

Ravi0598,

I have asked my lawyer to talk to INS and they may talk this week.

You can try to talk to INS too since it looks like these people have misplaced the replies...

I just got off the phone with IIO- she sounded to be an Indian. Following is the summary-

We have lot of backlog in the RFE cases and I don\'t know when it is going to be updated. You can contact Division 485 by fax. (I told her that we already did that- atleast that is what my lawyer said that he did send a fax on 8/1. I was adviced same thing by IIO on Jul 24th.) I can\'t do anything unless it is updated in the system. I can then make the printout and give it to the duty officer. I don\'t know what and when they are going to enter in the system.

So, looks like unless mailroom mess is sorted out, we guys are out of luck.

True test of Patience

INS is really true test of patience.

But I guess things should be OK withing next 2-3 weeks.

I\'ll pay $1000 !!!!

Well, its just hope. Hopefully we need not have to send it again.
One thing is good that there are 4-5 guys like us and probably more who don\'t come on this web site. My guess is that all the replies went to a wrong officer or mailbox which is unfortunate. My lawyer also sent fax(RFE or Inquiry, I think full RFE) so atleast that should have reached.

Approved after 5 weeks

Mine got approved in July, but it got approved at the end of 5th week.

Called IIO yesterday about this -

My RFE reply was sent on June 4, and the AVM is not yet updated. IIO simply said \'Have more patience\' and \'We have a lot of backlog in mailroom\' - seems those are the stock phrases taught to them before they take the job! He also gave me a fax number to send an inquiry to (949-389-3484).

When I emailed my lawyer about this, he casually writes back that many RFE\'s don\'t make the computer system and that there is a 3-month backlog for matching RFE\'s to files. I have generally been optimistic about this for the past several months, but am starting to give in to some serious depression now!

spancha

spanch, you will get it. I see it\'s taking more time but you are very close, any time you will hear it\'s approved. I also went thru the same. My case took almost 4 1/2 years from the date I started my GC process.

Still waiting after 4 months of INS acknowledgement of RFE reply received

Guys,

Its more than 4 months now that INS acnowledged receipt of my RFE
reply for I-140 amendment, still no signs of approval.
I called IIO a month ago and he just told me that the file
is on the desk of the officer who issued the RFE.
Its really frustrating, INS is a test of patience.
