RFE case - talked to IIO

Howdy frends...

Just spoke with IIO regarding my RFE response and situation..
First time.. spoke with a gentle lady...

Gave my EAC#
She verified address first!
yes yes.
Then asked status...
She kept reading status on her computer. (they were working.. yes)...
She said.. RFE received 11/27. 12/5 sent for security clearance..
response received 12/10..
the case is on home stretch...
I asked her what home stretch meant and how long it would take...
She said she hates to take a guess and dissappoint me...and said home stretch meant that all the formalities were done and that the case is on the officers pile...

She wont know, what the officer has in his/her plates ahead of my case... If the officer finds everything ok then you shud be approved whenever he gets to it...

I'm a little confused!

You mean RFE issued on Nov.27, and you responded on Dec.10th, and security clearance on Dec. 5th. That means they do security check before they got your RFE response? please clarify. Thanks.
 
Let me guess

It seemed to me that:

INS received the RFE response on 11/27
INS sent for clearence check on 12/5 and got response back on 12/10...
 
Is the new FBI check called Home Stretch?

Hoping I am not pessimistic..

Why would the IIO say that she does not want to take a guess and disappoint? Unless something very scary going on behind..

Just Hope things get better

she said, she could take her best guess... and it is very likely that it is not approved by then!..
that would be disappointing to me (i beleive)...
so she preferred not to take a guess...

sorry to hear regarding ur case..

there is no logic to any dates nor processing times.. how long it takes.. etc...

you know what at the end we are in the same boat...

Only approval matters... your file is waiting now and might not wait once it gets to home stretch...

My case might wait at the home stretch for ever... (hope not but...)

Anyways keep in touch if ur status changes....
