RFE case approved according to AVM

Hi Srini,

and could you pls help me regarding my doubt:

When i was checking AVM last night, it was telling RFE was mailed on August' 01, 2002. I don't know about for what the RFE is. Could you pls clarify few of my questions?
1. Approximately how many days it will take to receive the RFE notice from their mailing date?
2. Will they send RFE notice to both my attorney and me (or) only to attorney?.
3. Does it matter the diffrent address on 485 application and last year W-2s and paystubs?

RD: 08/20/01, ND: 10/15/01, FP: 05/22/02, RFE: 08/01/02.

Congratulations. So, ur prediction of getting approved in a week after RFE receipt turned true.

Congrats !! Guess what... I got my approval too on 8/2/02. I am sure both our cases were with the same officer... same date of RFE generation(07/17/02).. same RFE received dates(07/31/02) and approved on 08/2/02 too.

My RD is 08/30/01.

I've been waiting for 3 months today since INS received my
RFE response. I called IIO twice and they told me that my
case was with an officer and she would make a decision
in a couple of weeks. Actually, my case is pretty straight
forward except I didn't get the vaccine shots due to the
pregnancy, and I got a RFE for that. And they also asked for
last year W2 and three month paystubs, which I don't know
why. We responsed immediately. I don't understand what
took them so long to make a decision. I know I have nothing
to worry about, but don't you guys think it's a little bit unusual? Maybe I am just one of those unlucky people.

1. Should take under a week to receive the RFE after the AVM update.
2. Only attorney will recieve the RFE.
3. No it does not matter. I had a diferent addressed in 2000-w2 and 2001-w2, also my current address is different. If you move atleast once after filing labor, it seems to be an automatic RFE.

Sorry to hear that, and I feel for you.
If I were you, I would ask the lawyer to contact INS and sort out the issue. You could also try to build a good case and contact your senator (I have seen it work in some cases). Others on this board may have some more options for you.
Three months is a long time, so do something about it. It is quite possible that your application got stuck in some system or in someone's pile....

Thank you for your advice. I called IIO this morning and they
gave me the same answer--Our cases(My husband and I) are with an officer and under review. We'll contact our lawyer to see what we can do.

COngrats. It should be a nice feeling after getting GC, after going thru some much, donno whats right and whats wrong. there is no specific order for anything and everything is vague. May be it does't matter, as long as you get there.
