RFE BEING ISSUED...can i apply for extension of Ap and EAD.

i received a RFE on August 08 2004 and i am supposed to respond to it by November 08 2004. In the mean time, i have also applied for my wife's 485 2 days ago. Now the problem is that my current AP and EAD are expriing in 2 months from now. Can i apply for new EAD and AP even though a RFE has already been issued on my 485 case. some how i have an impression that once a RFE is issued, service centers do not issue extension of EAD and AP.

I have not responded to my RFE yet.

Gurus please help. i would be so thankful.

what is 485 RFE?

go ahead and renew ap/ead as its not related to 485 RFE.
ur ap and ead will become invalid only if ur 485 is denied.

thank you sir....by "485 RFE" i meant to say a RFE issued in regards to my adjustment of status application (I-485). i will file for EAD and AP.
