RFE - BC Translation

Gurus, please advice ..

I got my BC (for RFE), issued in non-English language. If any one has any expereince of using translation service or we can translate ourselves?...
Also, I am submitting the birth affidavits also (as on my BC there is no name of my mother there ...). If copies' of the Birth Affidavit are OK or originals are required?.

For BC translation:

A friend of mine had that problem - he looked up for a certified translator in the yellow pages and had the BC translated. USCIS accepted that document.

Also copies of birth affidavit should be fine. (some have attached a color copy in the past) If you want to be very cautious, you can attach the following note:

"
Copies of documents submitted are exact photocopies of unaltered original documents and I understand that I may be required to submit original documents to an Immigration or Consular official at a later date.
