RFE and no approval

Hi! friends,

Any one here who got an RFE. But couldn\'t provide the details
of job because of layoff and got their i-485 rejected??

Please let me know

i would think

this to be the default behavior if one does not respond to an RFE.

I think if applicant does not respond to the RFE in

the stipulated 90 days then the I485 is considered abandoned and I485 is denied.

However, under some special conditions, INS may reopen the case (if you have a convincing reason for not replying to RFE). An example, would be not receiving the RFE from INS.

what do you consider a convincing reason?

Bad economics times? Can\'t find a job?
