RFE and mailing mistake

This is my first post and I first want to say how much I appreciate the information and the help my husband and I have received from reading this forum. We made what I hope is not a huge mistake. "We" sent our RFE response to the wrong address ("we" being my husband...).

The letter says to send the response to Homeland Security in Lee's Summit, MO and my husband sent it to USCIS in Chicago. I guess my question is - is it okay to just send the information again with our photocopy of the RFE with a brief letter of explaination as to what happened? Will the material we sent to Chicago automatically be forwarded?

Thanks very much!

ya , you should and you must send it to the correct address again, just include a copy of the rfe, the evidence and a brief note on the third page

W/O a doubt.....Send it again

Victorianna,

I agree with everybody here. Please re-send your RFE back to the right address Lee Summit, MO. Just a quick reminder that use certified mail to mail your paperwork so at any point USCIS claims that they have not received your RFE yet, that certified mail will prove it.

Good luck.
