RFE and EAD renewal

I recieved an RFE on my I485. I have also applied for renewal of my EAD.
Does the RFE in 485 affects the process of EAD renewal?

priority date: July 2002
EAD applied : April 12th 2006
RFE issued on I485: April 17th 2006
 
Hi Nemo ,

It's a good news that they touched your file even though the priority dates are not current for your case , may be it's gonna be new trend by NSC as it was recently mentioned that they are gonna do some preapproval so that once the priority dates are current those cases can be immediately approved.

So in your case there can be 2 option one which i've mentioned above second in case you have file AC21/or change yor place of residence
( different city) etc ... they might want to check your employer .

Do let us know what's your RFE is ?? and also let us know whether you changed your employer or moved to different city .

I thought so .... have you filed AC21 if not then they might ask you for that .. just a guess ..

Yes it could. From what I remember reading on these forums, they tend to put renewals on hold in the interim (EADs are tied to 485s anyways). I would say you are lucky if you get your renewed EAD before responding to your RFE.

My suggestion is to have an inforpass appointment ready for the 91st day since your EAD receipt date (or is it notice date.. not sure..need to check). Just in case, if things get delayed, you can try for interim EAD (again, I am not sure if they give these either with 485 RFEs).
