1st FP: 03/09/2002
2nd FP: 07/23/2003; FBI sending the results over the same day.
RFE issued: 09/02/2003

It seems that they waited 5 weeks from the date of 2nd FP ... then open the file, issue an RFE ... go back to sleep again!!!

I know that it is pointless to ask that if an RFE has to be issued; why can it be not issued along with the 2nd FP; or after that???

Just waiting for Rajiv's petition to go online ... as mentioned over there, it is more and more reflecting in my mind that "BCIS GOT TO REALISE SOMEPOINT THAT WE ARE HUMAN BEINGS ... NOT JUST FILES!!!!!".
 
Did the online update after the second FP for you?
Yes. RFE is pain after such a long time. But, it is still better than transfer......
 
I think it was mentioned a few times on this site that the second FP notices aren't issued by IIOs, but an automated service called National Scheduler. On the other hand the RFEs are issued by IIO and absolutely unrelated to the fingerprint problems. So there is no need to blame BCIS for the 5-month hybernation - they are working slowly, but working.....

No online didn't get updated after 2nd FP; it got updated last eve. with the RFE notice. I'm believing to think that even after this, they can come up with something else ( transfer, whatnot...)
 
yes. There were 5 transefers y'day in EAC-02-102 series after RFE's were received on early August. You never know what is next with BCIS. Good luck for your approval after RFE...
 
This is a typical case, in which at the time of FP2 issue, his case wasn't assigned to an officer yet...and so National FP Scheduler issued FP2...! Thats why online didn't reflect after FP2.

Looks like this case has been recently assigned to officer, and RFE issued...

Do submit the documents and get ready for approval..Good LUck
 
Exactly on the same boat

Did early second FP on 2nd July 2003 (Scheduled 23rd July).
Status not updated after 2nd FP.

As per online RFE issued on 02SEP2003.
Changed job but never informed BCIS as per my lawyer's suggestion.

I will post the details of RFE after we receive the notice.

I have a question though.

Do I get a copy of the notice or only my lawyer gets the notice?

I disagree with vijayrc opinion on status update after 2nd FP.
Myself and my wife, we both, have same day RD, gave 2nd FP on same day. Her online case updated with in a week and mine doesn't.

I don't think there is a logic or pattern for case status update. It is on BCIS mercy.
 
It is up to BCIS to update or not to update after FP. In my case they never updated it. Still waiting for approval.

Same with me .. my wife's FP got updated after 3 days, mine didn't!!
