RFE after AOS interview

Interviewed at local office in Apr 2005.
Questions I was asked:
1. What is your full name?
2. What is your current address?
3. What is your dob?
4. Who is your employer?
6. What is your current title?
7. Who are your employer's competitors?
8. How many employees work for your employer?
9. Is your employer an Indian or American company?

Questions my wife was asked:
1. What is your full name?
2. What is your current address?
3. What is your dob?
4. Do you work? (She was home maker)
5. How many times have you been married? (We were unprepared for this. She answered 1)
6. How many kids do you have? (We had taken both of our kids aged 11 and 3.5 yrs old).

Officer verified the original documents and took away the I-94's pinned to passport. They were expired. We did have valid I-94s as on that date. The visa stamp on passports were expired, so he stamped as 'Cancelled without prejudice' on the visa stamps of passports. Not sure what this means.
Finally he said that he would send a letter for more documentation. Also informed us that my FBI background check is still pending and so cannot make any decision on our applications.

RFE after interview (letter received in May 2005) for:
1. Employer's payroll accounts and 3 yrs of employer's IT returns.
2. Evidence of employment as described on labor certificate.
3. Samples of projects or anything I worked on.
4. Copies of paystubs for past 6 months. I had shown all my paystubs during interview.

Not sure of:
1. What do they mean by evidence of employment as described on labor certificate (an employment verification letter, issued by my current employer, was shown during interview. The letter did state my title, period from when employed and current earnings).
2. What samples of project they want to see.

Any inputs are welcome.

Thank you. :)

Did your employment letter included all job responsibilities? Does your job is same as that one mentioned in your Labor?

Send documentation for your projects like user manuals. You should asked him what additional documents he needs at the time of interview itself.

I am also not sure about it. I guess, USCIS is looking for proof that the LC job is a valid one. And, either you are already working on this position or still available for you. Basically your GC sponsoring employer should describe this job position - nature of works, product, your responsibility etc.

Samples of project means any documentation related to the projects you have done.
1. Any official white paper/marketing documents for the product of your project (website printout would help too, I guess).
2. Any project documentation (design, testing documentation, manual etc). If you are author of any of these documentation, it's a good idea to provide that, so that it will prove that you were/are part of that project.
3. If you don't have name in any of the above documentations, provide copies of meeting minutes or project plans, where your names are available.

Item 2 and 3 are in general confidential documents. If you worked for client, it can be difficult to obtain those documents. You need to convince your ex-boss/boss.

Keep in mind, as this RFE is after your interview, it's important to be authentic and complete as much as possible.

The current job title and also the work being done is the same as the LC job. The employment verification letter did not provide a detail info of the job done. Was interviewed at san jose.

For samples of project, it is indeed a 'Catch 22' situation. I can provide some docs about current project. I do not have any docs of old projects. Even if I have, these should not be disclosed (confidentiality) outside of the clients workplace. Legalities step in. Somebody suggested that the contract between my employer and client would be also a suitable doc. But what if there is a middleman between?

Let me see what my lawyer has to say. Pralay, Hou, Tammy thanks to all for your valuable inputs.

Thank you. :)
