RFE after 2 weeks notice at job

Something unexpected has happened. Thinking that it will take time for me to have mine and my wife's I-485 adjudicated, I looked for a new job and found one last week. I also gave my two weeks notice yesterday to leave my present company. Today and I come and see that I have an email from USCIS saying that an RFE has been issued for my wife. I checked my status on the USCIS website and nothing has changed for my case.

How do I go about this? I have already given my 2 weeks notice and I don't think I can stick around in my present company till I hear more about our I485. I have a month's time to reply to the notice. Should I join my new company and then reply to the RFE or should I reply right away? What do I do about AC21?

It usually takes 4-7 days after email notice to receive RFE in the mail. If you filed I-485 through a lawyer, you should also talk with her/him. I guess the RFE for your wife may be something like re-doing medical or birth certificate. If you had received RFE, that would have been about your employment. This means that you can move on to a new company. Please let us know how things are going. Good luck!
 
The lawyer got my wife's RFE. It seems its just a straight forward RFE to show marriage is bonafide (supporting documents include joint bank account, insurance coverage, joint ownership of property, joint tax return etc). The lawyer does'nt know if my name check is cleared though.
 
That is a usual RFE.

Thanks for the kind update! Although the RFE was none of the two things that I mentioned earlier, I am not complaining. Another good news is that you can join the company with no problem.

I remember seeing exactly the same RFE somewhere in this 485 forum, but I can't exactly locate the thread. Please use the "search" mode to find out the thread by typing keywords like "RFE bona fide". In the meantime I will also look for the thread for you. Good luck!
