Came across a post in the Nebraska Service Center forum, that talked about a 485 case getting its approval revoked.

It sounded pretty darn drastic! I hope that doesn't spread to the CSC! Has anyone ever heard of something like this before? I know there was one case long back, where the GC was revoked because of salary issues. But haven't heard of anything since. This is just the second such case I have heard off. :(

IT could be fake marriage case where INS keeps following or if someone gets divorce in some time period after approval. I vae known such cases so Do't worry Mate. Employment base 485s are more safer.

Ghost, you are right and that is too in CSC. You wont get approval and hence there is no question of your GC gets revoked, so don't worry its far far safe in CSC.

Yeah like INS has time to review the applications!

I really wish INS has time to do such reviews. They are struggling to review pending cases and talk about reviewing approved cases!
:D :D :D :D

There are various reasons one approved GC can be revoked.
Apart from crime, immigration fraud, there is "conditional GC".
For example, if there marriage is less than 2 years (when the GC is approved) normally the dependent gets conditional GC. And
just before 2nd anniversary the GC holder must request for
condition removal. If he/she fails, his/her GC will be revoked immediately.

Thanks for the good posts guys! For a minute I was worried about the rejection, din't believe that an approved 485 could be revoked other than in extreme conditions. But there have been some greats posts explaining those conditions, so thanks for the update! :)
