I just got my H1-B extension approved, thanks to premium-processing. My current H1 expires on Dec 15th 2002 and the new one I just received expires on Dec 15th 2005.
I am travelling to Mumbai, India on Dec 6th coming back on Dec 22nd. I have to get my new H1-B visa stamped on my passport.
I guess I have 3 options
1. Revalidate it in St Louis
2. Travel to mexico and get it stamped there
3. Get it stamped in mumbai, India (should be a drop-box case, right?)
I have some questions regarding revalidating h1-b.
Is it true that they consider the revalidation application only if 60 or less days are present on your current visa? If thats the case then they would consider my application only on Oct 15th.
How long does the entire process take? If its any more than 7 weeks then I will have to strike out this option.
If I have to withdraw an application, how long does it take for them to send the passport back to me?
I am sure there are posts on this thread about the entire procedure, but if anybody has got any "gotchas" can you please share it with me.
