I came to Mumbai for Revalidation in Oct 2003. In Nov 2003 I was charged a $50 for the Reciprocity Fee and told to wait for the clearance letter/cable, which the Mumbai consulate was supposed to receive from Washington DC. I have the receipt and the passport with me, I keep on checking with the Mumbai consulate after every couple of weeks. The answer is always standard “We are waiting for the Clearance Letter/Cable from Washington DC, as soon as we get that you can get the stamp”.
Its been 4 months and I still didn’t get my Stamp yet. My Visa is expiring on the 13th of June 2004. I want to know what will happen if I don’t get the stamping done before the expiration of my Visa. Can I renew my Visa for another 3 yrs since I’ve completed my first 3 yrs?
Please help.
