Revalidation and returning with valid old visa

Hi Everyone,

I'm planning to do my visa revalidation (getting visa stamp in my passport) sometimes in the beginning of April 2005. My current visa stamp on my passport expires on late May 2005.

My question here is,

With the current visa stamp valid till May 2005, if for some reason the Consulate people give any trouble when I go for revalidation on April 2005, can I use my current valid visa stamp to return back to the US before May 2005?

The answer would be yes, provided they don;t cancel the old visa stamp, which they ususally don't cancel
